With the recent H1N1 scare, (some might say the new issue is the whooping cough epidemic) it was indicated that this particular virus is capable of living in the sinus cavity. Our nose, like our mouth is one of the avenues of transmission.
Growing up and still occasionally today I am plagued by chronic sinus problems and allergies. Eliminatory diets have helped but not succeeded in resolving the problem. Sometimes we do all we can on the inside and still have external symptomologies. I often apply reiki to the top of the nose and the bottom of my chin to ensure lymph drainage and have congestion stay at a minimum.
Luckily one need not have to use a neti all the time to have some of the benefits. Some of my favorite supplemental care options include
