I am absolutely amazed at how many options are available to share things on the web. I love placing "bookmarks" by posting them of various sites, whether blog, facebook, twitter etc. And luckily, these links remind me to post. something. anything. Writing has always been such an outlet for me, but I rarely designate the time to do so. I am reaffirming my commitment to the documentation of the consciousness that keeps ever unfolding and channeled through me.
For now, i'll write a bit about our seasonal transition.
Autumn is such a great time for feasting, and family and friends. Good recipes are always better shared. This season I look forward to meals, and harvest. Though the reality in my life, is taking time to turn inward and nurture that which has been sowed, and may need a little more nutrition or attention. The days get shorter, the mind gets quiet, activity slows to a more moderate pace.
I pulled out my sweaters that I had stowed away for the summer two years ago--long enough to forget~. I have a friend who mentioned what a novel idea this is considering in the bay area we don't really get seasons. I put them away to prevent infiltration of moths, and from bulking up my closet, but she is absolutely right. Besides, what better way to renew your wardrobe, but by going shopping in your own collection of cedar scented sweaters, in the shades you adore!
And, what I like most about fall is the assortment of flavors and spices--not to forget to mention the colors. I keep warm all year by using cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, clove, persimmon, orange...the list goes on...Here's to pumpkin...everything!! And maybe we don't see a huge change in leaves or climate, but we can still celebrate.
