La luz trail, here I come. I'm very happy to set some dates for my next trip to New Mexico. Visiting the desert in the summer has become a ritual---a quiet and reflective time that usually corresponds with my birthday or close to it. And though this year I plan on visiting Peru as well as Mexico and Arizona, New Mexico ranks up there in anticipation.
It is my passion to share with others and assist with health and wellness goals. I strive to find ethical capitalists, and give them the credibility they deserve. Making informed choices about the products we consume is critical, and can be overwhelming unless someone really spends a lot of time researching. My goal is to introduce product lines that help to bridge the gap between conscious consumerism and maintaining a life that is stress free and moderately indulgent.

kombucha-a few of my favourite things
More people are becoming accustomed to the benefits of fermented nutrients, live foods and alkalizing substances. Kombucha is such a delicious drink with multi faceted benefits. Recently while visiting one of my favourite health food stores I had the chance to meet and greet the makers of house kombucha. With small handmade batches and great flavours like sun power and chai vanilla, they tickled (and nearly pickled) my fancy with smiles, the beautiful jars, personalized delivery and a sticker.
down by the river
My last visit to the central valley left me with a little extra time to spend with the family. My step mom happens to be really great about storing memorabilia and we stumbled across very precious albums of childhood. This image is one of my favourites because I often sit this way and have an undescribable relationship to flowing fresh water. I was happy to be depicted in this way and to reconnect with the image and memory.

MUD
volcanic clay, ash and charcoal in body products really do it for me--in terms of function and excitation. I love the cleansing nature of such substances. Today I had the great experience of meeting with a group of friends and spoiling ourselves with a little r&r. With a few to choose from, most of us opted for the bhaktiveda mud mask with an ayurvedic recipe including oils and aromas. We didn't have to go hiking in the mud and then clean up ourselves afterward...instead, we just sat for 20 minutes, scheduled our next r&r session and carried on with our lives, with better skin. YUM! http://www.bhaktiveda.com/

Rolling Stones - Wild Horses
todays solar eclipse is an interesting phenomenon and nearly back to back with the most recent lunar eclipse. I don't know if they usually occur within such frequency, or if this is an oddity, whatever it is, for me it's got a little feeling of nostalgia...enjoy this tune. I am.

Honey/Sunset NYE with KIM ANN FOXMAN
what a memorable eve in SF. usually I prefer the quiet mellow approach. this year I didn't feel like driving (far), or (further) so I crossed a bridge and went into Sf earlier than most would. Luckily this was the case because the rain picked up after I left, and so did the lines. Somehow I managed to bypass waiting in line at all and made my way in. Watching the countdown and confetti was madness. Delighted to see so many kissing couples and people filming I thought i'd get a clip, but all I got was a hello kitty zapatista and a peanuts character dancing...memorable evening to say the least. Christmas lights
I remember a conversation I had with a Russian friend who shared with me how weird it is to live on "christmas tree lane" in Alameda and not really celebrate christmas or new years like everyone else in America.
They have a holiday reception in the evening as well that is free for all. I may go.
