Lyme's disease

On one hand, the International Lyme And Associated Diseases Society reports that "a preponderance of evidence indicates that active ongoing spirochetal infection with or without other tick-borne co-infections is the cause of the persistent symptoms in Chronic Lyme Disease." On the other hand, the Infectious Disease Society of America insists that there is "no convincing biologic evidence for the existence of symptomatic chronic B. burgdorferi infection [the pathologic agent in Lyme disease]..." This latter view is accepted by the Centers for Disease Control.
