Sarah is visiting from the east coast and hasn't been in the east bay for months. I spoke with another friend from Marin who was recently entertaining someone from Italy. It occured to me that many people visiting the bay area also don't get to see much of it. I'm proud to say I make a fabulous tour guide.
Today we went to a fav tea nook of mine and shared mochi and matcha. The mochi was purple sweet potato mixed with puerh. I was convinced what I was eating was taro root, and was assured that was not the case.

It is my passion to share with others and assist with health and wellness goals. I strive to find ethical capitalists, and give them the credibility they deserve. Making informed choices about the products we consume is critical, and can be overwhelming unless someone really spends a lot of time researching. My goal is to introduce product lines that help to bridge the gap between conscious consumerism and maintaining a life that is stress free and moderately indulgent.

I've been avoiding "corn" for a while now...and when people ask it's a little troublesome to go into the details, especially since Corn has been a standard in the diet of my ancestors for so long. I like to make the distinction between organic, heirloom varieties and the other stuff. Here's another reason why i'll continue to limit it.

Blowing In The Wind
happy birthday to Bob Dylan& Lisa Medel!
Tonight at teance we chatted w/ a monk & an iphone about the recent hype about the end of the world. He brought out a ten string guitar that he tuned with an app and a puppet---that no doubt made the rapture all the worth it. Bob Dylan would be happy.

Jose Gonzalez - Heartbeats
Mikki and Jeff, we'll miss you here! thank you for bringing the segments and frames of my worlds of past and present bridged by your music, friends and hearts. where else could I find the goard of my dreams, have a chiro adjustment, meet extended family and see and hear new and old faces. not to mention, getting lost on the hike in the back yard and needing to take a cab home. thanks for the memories, the cookies (especially the snickerdoodles) and may the long time sun shine and guide you.

The King of China's Daughter
I've had the wonderful opportunity to have tea with some amazing people in the last few weeks. This song is symbolic of the discussion, the plants, the beauty, the savour and delicate nature of tea harvesting and preparing.

I would adopt Neem, and have, using it nearly daily in multiple ways. I'm happy to hear it's finally getting more recognition in the west. Whenever I mention my affinity to it, so many people still ask (even after being featured on dr. oz.) ... "what is neem?"
AND>...
Where do I begin?
At least now, the 'research' and 'science' behind it will be a little more extensive and practical in a database. And instead of repeating myself, over and over, I can refer someone to the research, as I always enjoy doing. Problem is, as a researcher, most people don't read or absorb material the way I do and understand info.
What i'm celebrating here is a new story to tell about Neem and my love of this herb.
Good going ABC!

Whenever I visit Austin, I go and see these guys and the medicinal garden they've planted. The MaHuang was really robust, more so than i've ever seen it, and the Ayurvedic bed was just getting started. I didn't ask them if they had planted biodynamically but I imagine being the herbal geniuses they are, it had to have been considered. Here they discuss new additions to the advisory board. Getting better all the time.

Mother by Xavier Rudd
Peace in my heart exemplified through music. What talent...what fusion, what kinship. I am resonance. i am repatterned.
The show at the Ballroom last night was epic. For many moments I could not believe my senses, the joy my body was feeling and experiencing. All smiles, for hours later, my cells vibrated with the amusement of vibration.
...and I even ended up with the set list (and a tshirt)
Thank you. thank you. thank you. to the mothers and the babies.

Guns N' Roses - Sweet Child O' Mine
what will we tell our children of these days? what types of things will be recalled? I know certain moments in history are of a different emphasis to some more than others...i'm sending a prayer to those babies being conceived (quite possibly with the effective assistance of acupuncture!) and those tender babes seating in front of the tv in this era. May our hearts and minds be filled with peaceful images overflowing. always.
every rose has it's thorn. every gun has it's rose. every shadow has it's light. every enemy has it's friend.
George Harrison (The beatles Here comes the sun)
after weeks of working hard, I realized it was time for a break. Luckily I had a friend who wanted to accompany me to the beach and off to a spa resort. Though we did work too, we played in the sun, and it was alright. I'm a little sundrenched at the moment. I usually use a chemical free, non nano sunscreen, but lately my body has just been responding really well to full exposure. I limit the timing, and so do the clouds. i'll admit, in this instant, I'm a little sunburnt and going through a bit of a detox.
George harrison, droseros, marine algae, EO's and aloe to the rescue.
