fantasy wedding made reality

to love and be loved is the greatest gift you'll ever learn. nothing brings me more joy than friends and loved ones who are fulfilled in relationships and happy.

though I am a total non conformist, weddings ARE really great partys.
this weekend I had an opportunity to witness what I knew would be a memorable experience and uniting of two people who have been together all this time without the formality of a wedding

Jennine and Ian tied the knot, the endless knot with Hebrew songs, family and the creme de la creme of california sunshine.

with accents like fresh rosemary on napkins, fresh lemonade in bell jarsand personalized components like a Fela Kuti band under a canopy of redwoods,
i'm dreaming up how my wedding will be. What food will be served?! Who will serve it...  maybe a more realistic notion might be, who might I marry!?

A love like theirs isn't terribly hard to come by, but to be willing...to open the heart to the unknown, the expansiveness of another is a different type of challenge.
Napa valley will always have a sweet spot for me, these memories,
these dreams and incantations realized. and maybe it's not MY wedding, this time, but it's something that I can be inspired by when the time actually does come.
