I love me some sleep aids

One of the things I require of my sleep aids is that they not diminish natural flora, not provide a hangover and have immediate results without harmful side effects. Sleep has never really been much of a problem, but the mind and stress is where I feel hindered.

30% of people have an averse response to sleep aids like kava and valerian. Kava is a ritual herb, my favorite use for it is a social circle. Consumed prior to discourse the kava allows all to check their ego at the door and let it go. I've tried re-implementing it into the organic realm of business meetings and conferences without much luck. And Valerian, that stinky sticky stuff keeps me awake at night. I thought I was an anomoly but i've discovered that herbalists, like Catherine of Wishgarden has known this all along and developed formulas that work on the physiological mechanisms and components of sleep, how your nervous system is engaged and use nervines like skullcap and valerian instead.

If you're part of my explorative herbal past, you'll know that skullcap and passionflowers are very dear to me. Skullcap (Scutellaria baicalensis) "bubble bath for nervous system," ~Carrie of WishGarden herbs. for me allows my minerals, my plates, my bones and other dear structural components of me to have a break.
Maybe it's the latin species of Baical?  Baikal? 
Perhaps it's rich in minerals or high in Ph?
Maybe it mimics my beloved Jadience Jade pillow? That I don't know.

Only my personal first hand experience and joy really of getting to know this herb and perhaps the rest of me, finding supportive and nutrient rich solutions for common ailments. I like to find needles or endoscopes rather than going at it with an axe. Homeopathic as well as Flower remedys have been a way for me to succeed as long as I have sleeping wonderfully and miserably all at the same time.

Note: if you plan to use Flower remedies please keep a dream journal to note progress while you are sleeping.
And this last note has encouraged me to start yet another diary.
this one will be entitled "SLEEP".

  1. Having trouble with sleep aids that is proven safe and effective? Then it is time to look into natural sleep aid. This may be the key to give you a good night’s rest!
